Bridge Your Grandstream HT502 (Advanced)
Put simply, bridging your Grandstream HT502 ATA disables the devices higher level networking functions (Routing/NAT/DHCP).
Bridge mode can be useful if you are putting the ATA infront of other networking devices (such as a router), and may be necessary to obtain your full speed on packages above 25Mbps.

- Connect a PC directly to the LAN port of the ATA using an Ethernet cable.
- Navigate to the ATA's web interface. (http://192.168.2.1)
- Log into the ATA using the User password. (The default user password is 123)
- Click on the BASIC SETTINGS tab.
- Scroll down to the section titled NAT/DHCP Server Information & Configuration and set the Device Mode field to Bridge
- Click Apply

Unlock Grandstream HT502
I changed my Voip provider and would like to use my Grandstream HT502
adapter with another voip provider but its locked. I tried to reset it
but was unable to reset to factory settings. Could you please tell me
how to reset to factory settings, where I can use the admin password as
currently its locked by another password.
While not connected to the Internet, reset the unit (with reset button or phone keypad) and disable provisioning, as described in this thread.

Grandstream HT502 nightmare to setup (Tektalk)
So I have registered with TekSavvy for the TekTalk service. I have
tried it for about 48 hours so far and I can pretty much say: It rocks!
Perfect quality and very good so far. Important to note, I am also with Teksavvy for the Cable internet.
Now on to my problems with the ATA device (Grandstream HT502). The problem is in regards to the location to connect the device.
I have 3 options:
Option 1: HT502 outside of my LAN (before the router)
Cable ---> Thomson DCM475 ---> HT502 ---> Router ---> LAN 8port Switch (Computers, printers, etc..)
Pros:

Using the template file the configuration tool makes phone specific configuration files, basically it just reformats the config options into one line separated by ampersands and attaches its custom header

The Grandstream HT502 and HT286 adapters act as an analog adapter to connect your analog telephone to the Protel PBX, or other SIP PBX. The ATA adapter may also be used to connect a business class 1 or 2 line telephone to the PBX, such as the analog offerings from Aastra. If configuring a 2 line phone, you will require the use of the HT502 device since the HT286 is a single line device. Using this is recommended for customers who do not have network cabling in certain areas of a facility and only has CAT3 wiring to the location.
The provisioning explained here will explain how to do the configuration as we found as the easiest method to do so. You will require an analog telephone to complete step 1 of the installation process to change some settings on the telephone device.
As you can see, you have two FXS ports on the back of the unit. This allows you to have a 2 line telephone(s) or also using them to connect it to a legacy telephone system if needed. Of course you may also be using one only or using the ports for two analog telephones.

Grandstream HT502 from Teksavvy password
I got a Grandstream HT502 from Teksavvy for TekTalk and I have ordered a second number for it from Teksavvy. I was provided the information I need for to put into the FX2 page but I cannot access it because it came preconfigured with a password on the device from Teksavvy.
Does anyone have this info?
I'm assuming you've tried the default password that is 'admin' and that it's been configured for something else?
The default passwords for that are '123' for user level and 'admin' for administrative access
The '123' is for basic access, This will not provide you with access for the FX2 page. bbud613 will require an advanced access password. Unfortunately is it not available to the public. This is why bbud613 will need to call in. We will need to remote into his ATA and set him up with his own advanced password.
